Perfect Christmas Table

Christmas is now just around the corner!  Perfect Christmas Table

Perfect Christmas Table – I love this time of year when you are surrounded by your family and friends and have lots of holiday parties to attend. Of course, decorating for the season takes top priority in our home!

One of the most important things I decorate is my holiday table. This is really special to me because this is where a lot of memories are made each year. I have a few key tips to share with you so you too can set the perfect holiday table this year!  Perfect Christmas Table, Plano Texas Handyman wishes you and your family a wonderful Christmas season and please call us for all your home improvement projects at 214-507-3415.  Visit our website for all our capabilities.

Tip 1: Use a white linen base

One of the best investments you can make is in a crisp white linen that fits your table. Quality really does make a difference on this and it really is worth the dollars you will spend. I always use a base white linen for all my holiday tables and it is a great starting point for your table decor.  Perfect Christmas Table

Tip 2: Create a focal point

Creating a focal point in the center of the table does not have to be hard. It can be as simple as a cluster of candles or, like ours, a plaid blanket scarf with some mercury glass Christmas trees. I think symmetry is everything so whatever you choose for the center of the table, just make sure to make it balanced. Whatever is on one side should be on the other. Here I used two different glass Christmas trees but made sure there were two of the same on each end. Tucked in holiday balls and flocked branches completed the look.  Perfect Christmas Table

Tip 3. Always layer your plates for depth

I always think the more layers you have the better! Start with a base like a charger. Then add a dinner plate, followed by a salad plate and finish with a butter dish or a bowl like we used. Your guests can undo the layers and use what they need. I think using a different pattern or color on each layer brings a touch of whimsy, too.

Tip 4: Add a touch of gold to glam it up.

Gold is so popular right now and you can use it sparingly for a modern touch. I used a touch of gold only on the flatware this time. Some other fun places to use a touch of gold would be in the napkin rings, glasses or just on the centerpiece design.

Tip 5: Pop a color

I think it is always fun to pick an unexpected pop of color like this blue in the glasses. It is a holiday table but that blue really gives it a modern flare. You can do this with napkins too. I love adding a fun color to the mix!

Some of my favorite places to shop for table décor are resale shops and antique stores. You really can get great eclectic items even for holiday décor! Shop your own closet too. I used a blanket scarf I already had for the center of the table. Sometimes the best treasures are already in your home.  Perfect Christmas Table
